Who would have ever thought that warnings would need to be issued for eating raw ground beef? However, according to a Dec. 5 report on MSN, there are certain areas in the state of Wisconsin where cannibal sandwiches are an important, but dangerous part of the Christmas celebration. Made with raw ground beef and a piece of onion on cocktail bread, the delicacies are rooted in a German and Polish background. If the name "cannibal sandwiches," doesn't put you off this centuries-old traditional fare, the statistics may do it. At least 19 people in the Watertown area became very ill after consuming them last Christmas.
While many people regularly consume choice cuts of steak that are served a little pink, the danger of eating uncooked meat increases exponentially with ground beef.
