Christmas break is an extremely busy time of the year for a pet sitter. I can now say that my clients are winding down from the holidays. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, if there was one in Carmel or Westfield, Indiana. I may have to peek down into a drainpipe to see the light.
I have to say that I mastered a new skill this Christmas break, quickly putting booties on two Bishon Frise's paws each time they went outside. That's eight bootied up paws, three times a day, equaling twenty four times I put them on. I have to admit they were use to the drill prior to me taking care of them, so It wasn't that difficult.
Christmas day was quiet on the streets of Carmel and Westfield. I didn't have a lot of traffic to deal with, so that was fabulous. After wishing all of client's pets a Merry Christmas I was able to relax in the afternoon and put my feet up and enjoy the holiday. I have to say that all of the pets I took care of : Boo Boo, Bogey the dog, Oscar, Molly, Daisy, Pepper, Shibori, Rookie, Maggie, Bogey the cat, Howie, and Jorde, were on their best behavior and didn't get lumps of kitty litter in their stockings. I'm so grateful that I have a profession that I love and that I have wonderful clients that take such great care of me. I have now been a pet sitter for twelve years and I'm looking forward to pet sitting in 2014. Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year filled with the love and joy that your pets give you.
