The Indianapolis Zoo looks a lot different in December than it does during, say, July. That's partly because many of the warm-weather animals have been moved indoors to less wintry surroundings.
But it's also different because of the lights. Lights in trees. Lights on the ground. Lights in sculptures that look like animals. Christmas at the Zoo makes Clark Griswold's display look tasteful and modest.
But it's not all just lights and polar bears. There's also Santa's Sweet Shop, the 4-D Polar Express movie ride and a trip around the zoo on the Holiday Train Ride.
Christmas at the Zoo runs through December 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) at:
Indianapolis Zoo / White River Gardens
