Christmas at the polar bear club

The Coney Island Polar Bear Club, invites members to take a dip in the icy Atlantic Ocean every Sunday from November through April. And since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, It  seems like a great way to spend the holiday. With no snow in sight, this event could be of interest. This is the oldest club of its kind in the United States. Many have joined in over the years, partnered with camp sunshine, which includes many acts of good work such as the special olympics.

The Coney Island Polar Bear Club was founded by Bernarr Macfadden aka "Father of Physical Culture." in 1903. He believed that "our bodies are our most glorious possessions, that health-wealth is our greatest asset . . .
