Parker hosts several fun Christmas and holiday events every year, packaged in a wonderful small town atmosphere.

Ranging from a traditional Christmas concert to the well-loved annual Christmas carriage parade to a unique and fun holiday basketball camp, holiday festivities in Parker are good family fun and worth the trip.

List of Parker Christmas and holiday events

  • Santa Breakfast in Parker

When: December 5, 12, 19 and 24 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Where: The Wildlife Experience at 10035 South Peoria, Parker, CO 80134

Cost: Kids $12; Seniors $16; Adults $18

Special note:  Tickets will NOT be available the day of the event.  Buy online or call 720-488-3344.

What: Have a holiday breakfast with Santa Claus. Children will enjoy breakfast with Santa, holiday crafts and fun, festive activities.

  • Winter Wonderlights in Parker

When:  December 11 – 24 every night from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Where: The Wildlife Experience at 10035 South Peoria, Parker, CO 80134

Cost: Adults $9; Seniors $8; Children 3-12 $6; Children 2 and under free. Buy tickets online or call 720-488-3344.

What:  Winter Wonderlights is a journey to the North Pole, beginning outside with light sculptures and a refreshment station.  Once inside families can tour the newest exhibit called Globeology and kids can write a letter to Santa.  Next is a stop in Santa’s Village where elves tend live reindeer, children meet Santa Claus, and patrons learn about winter animals like polar bears.  The evening ends with a showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

  • Highlands Ranch Community Chorus Christmas Concert in Parker

When: December 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Parker Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138

Cost: $5 in advance; $10 at the door.  Call 303-434-1560 or order online.

What: Highlands Ranch Community Chorus are people who love music and love to perform. Enjoy Christmas music at the Parker Mainstreet Center.

  • Winter Wonderland Skate Night in Parker 

When:  December 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Where:  Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Dr. Parker, CO 80134

Cost:  $6 at the door; $5 online at www.parkerrec.org.

What: This second annual event is open to families. Kids enjoy skating games, holiday crafts, and the climbing wall. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Parker Christmas Carriage Parade

When: December 12 beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Where: Parker Mainstreet and Victorian Drive

Cost: free

What: Families will enjoy watching horse-drawn wagons, carriages, and stagecoaches in this fun annual Parker parade.  Pony rides and a petting zoo are scheduled from noon to 4:00 p.m.  The Christmas Carriage Parade is s must-see Parker tradition.

  • Nothing But Net Holiday Basketball Fundamentals Camp in Parker 

When: December 21-13

Where:  Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Dr. Parker, CO 80134

Cost: call Marcus Mason at 303-921-5302 or Andy Fraser at 303-805-6310. Register online.

What: Open to males and females 6 to 17 years old.  The Holiday Basketball Camp consists of fundamentals to enhance dribbling, passing and shooting skills. Camp will also develop players’ ability to work in a team structure. School is out and players are between leagues, so a big focus of the camp will be having FUN while playing individual and team games.

    Me too! Parker Christmas Carriage Parade this weekend. We took our dogs last year and they thought it was pretty fun to see all the horses.

    If you haven't driven past the Wildlife center, just the outside lights are spectacular. I was not aware of some of the other actives, thanks for the article. There is a couple that sound just way to much fun!!
