Christine McVie rejoins Fleetwood Mac, tour announced

Announced today on NBC’s “Today” show, Christine McVie is rejoining Fleetwood Mac and a tour of North America will commence this fall, beginning Sept. 30 in Minneapolis and ending Dec. 19 in Ft. Lauderdale. The “On With The Show Tour” will hit most major cities along the way and is the first tour with the classic lineup of McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood since McVie left the band in 1998.

McVie was one of the lead singers, keyboardists and songwriters during Fleetwood Mac's heyday and wrote some of their best known hits like “Say You Love Me,” “Don’t Stop,” and “You Make Loving Fun.” The band, who hasn’t been able to play these songs live for 20 years, now has the flexibility to do so.

“Being back is really a time warp,” McVie told Rolling Stone. “The tour is going to be great fun. I feel like a pig in poo right now.”

The band also announced that they have been in the studio working on new material, but an album won’t be released until after their reunion tour.

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 7 via Live Nation.
