Christine Fair calls Rohrabacher's House hearing a political stunt

A U.S. scholar on Pakistan has called an upcoming meeting of the Oversight and Investigations Sub-Committee of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs a political stunt.

The mostly blunt U.S. scholar, formerly of RAND and now assistant professor at Georgetown University tweeted to the world in reply to a question, "You know it. It's a stunt."

She was responding to a question on twitter about a hearing on Balochistan that has been convened by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-CA 46th District.

Fair is herself scheduled to make a presentation at the hearing.

Fair said further, "I don't believe it's motivated by concern for the Baloch; rather, Rohrabacher wanting 2 irk GHQ."

The hearing, scheduled for Wednesday  February 8 at 2200 Rayburn House Office Building at the U.S. Capitol has sent a wave of joy in Balochistan and the Baloch Diaspora.

Fair believes in a constitutional and federal solution for Pakistan's political woes, but a second presenter at the upcoming hearing on Wednesday Ralph Peters has long been an advocate for Balochistan's freedom.

In addition, Ali Dayan Hasan is flying in from Pakistan to represent the Human Rights Watch at the sub-committee hearing.

In one of her tweets, Fair also described Ralph Peters as a reputed lunatic "Military Analyst and Author" and added "I'm more than worried about that Ralph nut..."

However, those who have closely observed Fair find her making strange, nutty facial expressions during important presentations.

Some Baloch youths who want freedom for Balochistan, appeared unhappy with Fair's blunt comments. Afghan diplomats have long complained that Fair is one of the biggest apologists for Pakistan.

Quite a few Americans were taken aback by Fair's remarks as they question how U.S. taxpayers monies could be used for political stunts.
