Christina Applegate is leaving the NBC's "Up All Night" television series according to a report by TV Guide.
The comedy series, which also stars Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph, has undergone many changes during the first two seasons. A replacement was announced in Dec. (2012) for Tucker Crawley, who previously replaced Jon Pollack. Linda Wallem is the new replacement. At this time it was also announced that the show would begin shooting in February for the up-coming season.
The next blow came in January (2013), as the creator and executive producer, Emily Spivey, left the show. NBC said the show would go on, but with a delayed shooting schedule.
So what is behind Applegate's leaving? Apparently Applegate wasn't happy in the decision to move the show to multiple camera show in from of a live audience. Five of the shows for the second season were planned to be shot before a live audience. These episodes were the ones to be filmed and to air sometime in April or May.
With the departure of Applegate, NBC will need a strong replacement in order for this comedy series to survive.
