"Christina didn't get lipo. She's worked hard to change her eating habits, and you can see the results," a close friend revealed.
"The last thing Christina wants to hear is that people are talking about her losing weight with liposuction. She's sick and tired of people assuming things about her body."
"Christina takes her lunches and snacks with her to work now, so she can watch how much she eats instead of overindulging in anything bad for her," added the friend.
Among her favorite portion-controlled foods: Protein and "snacks like pretzels." On the list of empty calories to beware of: Alcohol.
In addition, Christina has been toning and sculpting her body with yoga. She's so enthusiastic about the benefits of yoga that she invited her contestants to join her in a class, according to Us Weekly.
Think that yoga doesn't burn very many calories? Wrong. Self magazine reports that an hour of power yoga can burn almost 500 calories.
Nutritionist Keri Glassman applauded Christina's approach.
""If you learn to control portions and also focus on eating the right quality foods - those loaded with fiber and protein - you'll end up being healthier and lose weight. It's important not to eat until you're stuffed and also not to wait until you're starving," she told Hollywood Life.
