Christina Aguilera has become known for her belief that women should not feel pressured to slip into a size zero. Exemplifying her desire to empower other women, she posed nude and flaunted her baby bump in the new issue of V magazine, reported Us Weekly on August 1.

"As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store," said the 33-year-old singer. The decision to show off her pregnancy curves originated with Christina.

Christina wanted to "capture some blissful moments before she gives birth." She sought out photographer Brian Bowen Smith for the photo shoot, reported the Huffington Post on August 1.

The photos highlight the trend among celebrity moms-to-be to show their pride and happiness in their pregnancy by publicizing their bumps. Others include Britney Spears, Demi Moore, Cindy Crawford, and Nia Long, reported VH1 on July 31.

Jessica Simpson attracted attention for her choice of too-tight attire during her first pregnancy. And Kim Kardashian earned some criticism for wearing fashion that looked uncomfortably close-fitting. Both women also made it clear that they felt self-conscious about the weight that they gained during their pregnancy, complaining about the media attention to their attempts to shed pounds after they gave birth.

As for the future fathers? No bumps, no photo, no media spotlight...at least until science invents a way for men to bear part of the pregnancy burden. But Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher just might start a new trend when it comes to the roles of daddies-to-be.

Ashton decided that his responsibility is to ensure every possible craving that Mila experiences can be met immediately. She told Ellen DeGeneres that Ashton carefully stocked up a second refrigerator with "weird food."

Among the choices to contribute to Mila's own pregnancy bump: "Just like pickles and sauerkraut, or like anchovies and ice creams … just in case at one point during this pregnancy I’d be like, 'I really want something,'" she revealed. And Mila said his intuition proved timely.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, I need a pickle.' It was just the weirdest thing. I needed this pickle, and he was like, 'Hold on a second,' and disappeared in the backyard," where they keep the second refrigerator.

Ashton returned "with the most amazing dill pickle of all time," she added. Now as long as they don't decide to name the infant Pickle, it sounds as if that baby will have a very happy life.
