Happy Valentine’s Day to Christina Aguilera and new fiancé Matt Rutler, who announced their engagement on Twitter Friday according to People.

Since 2010 film producer Matt Rutler has been Xtina’s significant other, and the pair celebrated love’s holiday with a proposal and a diamond engagement ring. A source close to Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler confirmed the pair’s pending union to People.

They're very much in love and are really excited to take this next step!

The Voice” judge posted a photo of the sparkling ring on Twitter as Aguilera and Rutler locked hands.

He asked and I said……

Jordan Bratman is the 33-year-old songstress’ first husband and father to Max, the pair's child. According to People, Rutler has been a strong and positive fixture in the life of Christina’s 6-year-old son. Aguilera's divorce from Bratman was finalized in April of 2011, shortly after she was arrested for public intoxication (but never charged) along with Rutler, her then boyfriend, who was charged with a DWI, which was eventually dismissed.

Christina Aguilera’s new svelte figure made headlines in 2013 as she began another season as judge for “The Voice”. The “Say Something” singer will hopefully return to NBC’s vocal competition in the fall of 2014.
