Christians are headed to Mardi Gras, plus advice for new Christians attending

The Church is going to the Mardi Gras celebration! However, they aren’t going for reasons you may think: ChristianNews.net is reporting, “Hundreds of Christians to saturate New Orleans With The Gospel During Mardi Gras,” we wish them the best and pray for great success! We also, ask that you pray for them not to lose sight of what they came for and get caught up in the party... we're all only human, right?

There will be lots of temptation at this event; this is not something that every Christian should attempt… only those with lots of discipline should take part. This could be a pitfall for new believers that are excited and want to do something great for Jesus… my advice to them, start small. We all have been where you are, you’re excited and you may be so excited, that you bite off more than you can chew. It is important to keep in mind, that you’re new at this and you probably aren’t as knowledgeable or disciplined in this area yet as you would need to be. However, if you insist… go prepared! Pray for God to give you the Words to speak, believe that He’ll do it. Pray that He will keep you from temptation and keep you focused, don’t fool yourself by thinking you’re invulnerable to temptation. After all, you’re still new at this… according to ChristianNews.net, Pastor Troy Bohn of RAVEN Ministries, said that this will be the 18th anniversary of his efforts to spread the Gospel at this event. That’s a lot of knowledge, so if you do go despite my advice… study your Bible first! Be safe and stay strong in the Lord! We're rooting for you and most of all, we're praying for you!
