Christian Writing Class on docket for July 23

Frank Ball, who is the founder of North Texas Christian Writers (NTCW) group, will be conducting a writing class, The Write Foundation, on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Cross Timbers Community Church in Keller, Texas. This workshop will cover topics such as:

  • Knowing the rules and when they should be broken.
  • Using ordinary words for extraordinary writing.
  • Learning techniques that college courses rarely teach.
  • Becoming your own best editor.

According to Ball, attendees will benefit from the two-hour course because "even great authors can overlook the obvious, simple principles of writing. Novices can look like seasoned writers. After a brief overview of the basics, we'll take a long, hard look at weak writing and mistakes from some of the best-selling novels."

For nearly 15 years, Ball has been helping other writers improve their skills. He is the founder of NTCW, an association of some 200 members who meet for the development and promotion of Christian writing. He has written four books, hundreds of devotionals, and numerous articles.

For those who register by July 9th, the cost is $29. To register visit  www.ntchristianwriters.com or call Linda Franklin at 817-715-2597.
