AP is reporting Christian terrorist Scott Roeder admits to the killing of Dr. George Tiller. Dr. Tiller was a hero, who provided women reproductive health care in the face of violent threats from Christian extremists, threats ultimately resulting in his death. Dr. Tiller was shot and killed while attending church by Scott Roeder, a Christian terrorist in the anti-choice movement.

Roeder's admission is not surprising. There was never any doubt about his guilt. Indeed, he has become a minor celebrity in the minds of many Christians. Many Christians sympathize with or even openly endorse Roeder's act of terrorism, the political assassination of an American hero. This is no doubt a sad commentary on the character and moral compass of said Christians, but again, no big surprise.

Roeder, 51, of Kansas City, Mo., spoke to the AP in a telephone call from jail, saying he plans to argue at his trial that he was justified in shooting Dr. George Tiller at the abortion provider's Wichita church in May.

Roeder and his fellow Christian terrorists are moral monsters. Their obsession with women's reproductive health and their misunderstanding of what constitutes a person is driven by their sick and twisted Christian ideology.

There is no justification for Roeder's political assassination. It is just another act of religious extremism - no different than flying an airplane into a building or burning one accused of witchcraft at the stake.

Dr. Tiller was a noble health care provider. Roeder, a confused, superstitious and ignorant man, driven to kill by an obnoxious force is just another religious terrorist. Let him rot.
