On April 17th, TFK released The End Is Where We Begin amidst critical acclaim. Pre-sales of the album reached No. 1 on the Christian chart on Amazon and No. 7 on the Rock chart on iTunes. Since its release, The End is Where We Begin has hit No. 1 on the Hard Rock and Christian/Gospel-Mainstream Retail Billboard charts and is currently No. 14 on the Billboard Top 200.
“Let The Sparks Fly,” along with adrenaline-infused rocker “Light Up the Sky,” has been featured by ESPN over the last couple months for NCAA basketball coverage. NASCAR picked up the songs, along with the album’s title track and “War of Change,” for its April programming. The album will also have additional WWE placements over the next couple months, with EA Sports NHL 2013 releasing this fall and featuring “Light Up the Sky.”
On April 21st (Record Store Day), Grammy-winning rock band Switchfoot released a limited edition CD entitled Vice Re-Verses. The digital version will be available on iTunes May 1st.
Just prior to the release, Switchfoot was honored during the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards, receiving awards for both Rock Album of the Yearfor Vice Verses and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for the Top 5 Modern Rock hit from the album, “Dark Horses.”
