The year 2010 marks the beginning of a new decade, and for that reason there will be many experts releasing their choices for books that had an impact during this decade. Christian fiction as a genre has grown during this decade, with leadership from several bestselling authors.

Ella Curry and EDC Creations have released their list of award recipients for Best Fiction Series of the Decade (2000-2009), and the Shelton Heights Series, a Christian fiction series, has the honor of being named among them.

The Shelton Heights Series, created by national bestselling author, Kendra Norman-Bellamy, is a four-book collection; three of which are currently available. In Greene Pastures, Battle of Jericho, and The Lyons Den, are highly acclaimed stories of Christians in crisis who are all connected by way of an infamous, fictitious metropolitan Atlanta community called Shelton Heights Subdivision.

About the books named to this list, the award creator said, "Each book created an impact for readers and the Sankofa Literary Society network. Our literary hallmarks indicate excellence in writing. These are the books we want to showcase to the world."

The fourth and final book in the Shelton Heights Series, titled Upon This Rock, will release in 2011.

Congratulations to Kendra Norman-Bellamy and all of the other gifted writers whose series made the list. Also honored on this list were Christian fiction writers, Stacy Hawkins Adams and Pat G'Orge Walker, whose books also netted them a spot on the list.

Pat G’Orge Walker was honored for her best selling Sister Betty series. Stacy Hawkins Adams was honored for her Jubilant Soul series.

Each of these ladies was honored for great fiction, while writing in the Christian fiction genre.
