Max Lucado and other Christian speakers and bands will bring A Night of Hope & Healing during a free concert in Bridgeport, Conn. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. Lucado, who is a best-selling devotional author, will be sharing the stage with Mary Beth Chapman, wife of award winning Christian recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman, who will also be performing. Additional inspirational music will be provided by TobyMac, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, and other Christian bands and musicians from 6-10 p.m. at the Webster Bank Arena.
The event is open to everyone free of charge (children included), but tickets will be required to enter the arena. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to utilize mass transportation to avoid traffic congestion at that time of day (the Bridgeport/MetroNorth train station is approximately ½ mile from the arena).
Not designed to be a fundraising event, Hope & Healing will include prayer and will share the message of God’s love through music and inspirational speakers with those affected by the tragic events that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in nearby Newtown, Conn.
The concert has sold out but will be available via livestream for those who weren’t able to get tickets.
