Christian recording artist Tré Thomas has developed a passionate and loyal fan base over the years. The DC-based artist took a two-year hiatus from recording, but is now back with a new single with a fresh sound. Fans who have anxiously awaited new material from the singer since his last project, “Finally,” in 2012 should be delighted that the wait is over with the recent release of Thomas' latest single, “Without You.”

Thomas took a brief hiatus from music before finally linking up with his good friends, producer Andre Johnson of A-MinorMusik Group and Chris Jackson, who has written songs for successful artists such as Ron Isley, Enrique Iglesias and Tank. The result is a fresh, up-tempo product that flaunts the inspirational R&B style that has become a signature over the course of his career. Listeners will hear a rejuvenated, more confident Tré Thomas, and will also experience a sound and feel that is quite different from his past work.

“It's been two years since the release of my sophomore album,” Thomas said. “It feels great to release new music, but I must admit, I was really nervous. Fortunately, I have received positive feedback on the single. It's good to know that my fans are still with me and still enjoy the music that I put out.”

Growth has always been the goal for the New Orleans native, who draws much of his inspiration from artists such as the late Luther Vandross, Donny Hathaway, Donald Lawrence and his mentor, Richard Smallwood, all of whom have enjoyed longevity and success in the industry. In order to mature as an artist, Thomas has never been afraid to step out of his comfort zone and try new things. He has also made it a point to connect with his supporters by not only sharing his successes, but also his plight as an independent singer.

“Sharing your journey can make you more vulnerable, however, experiencing life has made me more confident and secure with who I am as an artist and as a person,” he said. “I want people to see the full spectrum.”

With that confidence, Thomas is exploring taking another step in his career to show his versatility as a music artist.

“I am planning an unplugged album for the end of the year – something I have always wanted to do. There will be some great things happening in 2014 that I believe those familiar with me will appreciate, as well as those who are just learning about my music. Stay tuned!”

“Without You” can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play and Spotify. For more information on Tré Thomas, visit www.trethomas.com.
