If things weren't amazing enough for RCA Nashville recording artist Chris Young, after finding out he was nominated for two ACM Awards last week in the Male Vocalist and Single of the Year categories for "Tomorrow," Young just found out that his latest single, "You," has topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. This is his fifth consecutive No. 1 single, joining Blake Shelton, as one of only two solo artists who have had their five most recent singles top the charts.
After hearing the news, Chris commented in a press release, "I am ecstatic. I’ve been excited for each #1 and to have five in a row feels amazing!”
"You" was co-written by Chris, along with Luke Laird, and is the follow-up to his No. 1 hit "Tomorrow," from his most recent album, Neon. "You" has currently sold over 400,000 downloads, and is closing in on Gold certification status.
Young's previous four chart toppers include “Tomorrow,” “Gettin’ You Home,” “Voices,” and the title track from his previous album, The Man I Want To Be.
Young is currently on tour with labelmate Miranda Lambert on her "On Fire" tour. The tour is hitting the southeast, with Huntsville, AL the next city on the schedule this coming Thursday, February 2nd. The tour will visit Orlando, FL on February 4th, then head to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on the 9th.
