Chris Wallace apologizes for 'flake' question during Michele Bachmann interview

Chris Wallace has been in the news quite a bit lately, but not always for the right reasons. First, he came under fire for a Fox News Sunday interview in which he seemed to suggest to Jon Stewart that Fox News is biased to a certain point of view -- and now, he is getting some heat over asking potential Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is she is a "flake" based on some questions she has asked while in Congress.

Following the interview, Wallace posted a video to the left along with this statement:

"It's really all about the answers and not the questions, I messed up. I'm sorry. I didn't mean any disrespect ... She seemed to be a little perturbed about that and I think gave a very strong answer. In any case, a lot of you were more than perturbed. You were upset and felt that I had been rude to her."

What may be the biggest surprise here is simply that in the video to the left, Bachmann does not seem altogether ready to accept Wallace's apology -- saying that she felt "insulted" by the question. This is certainly an unusual stance for a Republican to take, in particular since Fox News is generally a valuable audience for these candidates to obtain.

Do you think that Wallace was being sexist, or was he basing his question based on the facts?
