When Kim Kardashian attended the Vienna annual Opera Ball as a paid date to Richard Lugner, she encountered many problems. One was a man named, Chris Stephan, who attended the ball wearing blackface make-up, and doing his best Kanye West impression. According to TMZ, Feb. 28, 2014, Chris has issued an apology to Kim on his Facebook page.
Chris Stephan is a comedian from Austria. He claims that the entire blackface event was instigated by Kim’s date, Richard Lugner.
Steven said, “I was nice and gentle! [Kim's date] Richard Lugner called me and said ‘Kim wants to see her man, Chris do something.’ I even got dressed just for that and got into the Opera free because of it. Thanks Richie!”
He continued, “I’m really sorry that the story has gotten so messed up and misunderstood. I myself am Arab, born in Austria! I didn’t want this act to be in any way racist, and I’m sorry again for anyone who felt attacked!”
Richard had earlier accused Kim of not sticking to the schedule. He called her annoying, accused her of standing him up, and saying that she didn’t want him around while she was filming an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” She even refused to dance with him at his appointed time slot of 11:45 p.m. Instead, Kim sent her mother, Kris Jenner, to dance with the 81-year-old man. Kim said that she preferred to watch the dancing instead of participating.
Chris is a news reporter of Plus4 and according to them, Chris does this every year at the Vienna annual Opera Ball. Last year he painted his face tan so he could pass for Silvio Berlusconi. Lugner’s date last year was Ruby Rubacuari.
Kim accepted payment of $500,000 to be Richard’s date for the evening. Perhaps she should have checked what happened at the ball to Richard’s other dates in past years. Kim, baby North West and Kris Jenner managed to stay at the ball for approximately 90 minutes before they left.
Apparently, Richard didn’t disclose that part of the schedule to Kim.
