Is Chris Soules going to be “The Bachelor 2015”? That has been the theory for some time now, and on Tuesday Reality Steve indicated that he still believes that is the plan. Many “The Bachelorette 2014” fans thought that ABC essentially spilled the beans during Monday's finale, but many wonder where things officially stand right now.

Reality Steve has said for months that if Chris Soules wants to be “The Bachelor 2015,” it's his gig. There had been some fan support for the idea of Marquel Martin as the lead, but that never seemed to get any traction. However, there is one familiar face that is said to truly be in the running somewhat at the last minute: Arie Luyendyk Jr. from Emily Maynard's season of “The Bachelorette.”

Radar Online first broke the news that Arie could be “The Bachelor 2015,” and Reality Steve has confirmed that it is down to those two guys. Both bachelors have very passionate and solid fan bases, so which guy will win out? Based on Chris Soules' appearance at the finale and live “After the Final Rose” special that aired Monday night, fans are betting that a decision has indeed been made.

While a solid argument could be made that Arie should get the shot, not everybody has been convinced. Many fans fell in love with Soules this season, and the show does tend to go with someone recent. It would also seem attractive to have someone like Chris as the lead, as he seemed calm, sincere and collected, much like Sean Lowe was. Sean's season was definitely a success for the franchise, especially in comparison to last season with Juan Pablo Galavis.

During Monday's “ATFR” special, Soules was there and there were plenty of hints, some would say nearly a full-out confirmation, that Chris will be the lead. However, the show did not officially confirm it. It is quite likely that this news will not come until the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale in September. What do you think of the idea of Chris Soules as “The Bachelor 2015” over Arie Luyendyk Jr.?
