American Idol season six top 10 finalist Chris Sligh is preparing to release his next album The Anatomy Of Broken on Nashville's Word Records on September 14. Two years in the making, Sligh finds beauty in brokenness through a set of songs with a challenging message which echo the pop stylings of his debut album, Running Back to You (produced by Nashville's Brown Bannister). Sligh also released a Christmas album on iTunes in November 2009.

Chris Sligh on Brokenness

“To me, the songs on this album are different pictures of brokenness,” reflects Sligh.  “It’s okay to admit when we are fallen and broken.  The beauty of brokenness is that it is mirrored with acceptance and change.”

Chris Sligh - Only You Can Save

After changing labels, some false starts, and a new direction for the project, Sligh co-produced the album with engineer Steve Bishir and all 14 tracks including the lead off AC/Christian hit single “Only You Can Save.” Sligh has already made a name for himself as a songwriter on the Rascal Flatts’ song “Here Comes Goodbye.”

Chris Sligh - Life Lessons

Sligh writes songs that challenge listeners to be better people. The single “Only You Can Save” is a call to action inspired by seeing a homeless man on the side of the road in the summer heat.  These life lessons are set to Sligh's signature pop-rock tunes.
