With the score tied, and after rallying the New York Knicks from being down by double figures for most of the game, Jeremy Lin did what he has shown in the previous week that he does best. Win.
Lin knocked down the game-winning 3-point shot with less than a second remaining in the clock, as the Knicks went on a 6-game winning streak at the expense of the Toronto Raptors.
At this rate, Lin might as well change his name to Jeremy Win.
"I'm just glad it went like this so we can calm the Linsanity down," joked Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni after the game.
Not a chance. Lin also scored 27 points, and dished out 11 assists. Ho hum.
"Linsanity" simply refuses to end, and despite all the hype, continues to surpass expectations by both believers and critics, and may end up driving boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to insanity.
Mayweather openly criticized Lin this week on Twitter stating that the Taiwanese-American baller is simply getting the hype he is receiving at the moment because of his ethnicity, and that Black players put up similar numbers, but do not get the same recognition.
After Lin's heroic efforts Tuesday night, some of the most recognizable and significant figures in the Black community took swipes at Mayweather for his ignorant remarks.
Comedian Chris Rock tweeted:
Somebody needs to tell mayweather that bibby , shumpert, and Douglas are black
Direct Spike Lee tweeted:
Floyd Mayweather I Hope You Watched Jeremy Hit The Gamewinning 3 Pointer With .005 Seconds Left. Our Guy Can BALL PLAIN AND SIMPLE.RECOGNIZE.
Mayweather's response to the criticisms he received after his misguided statements? Throw his entire country under the bus.
@FloydMayweather tweeted:
Other countries get to support/cheer their athletes and everything is fine. As soon as I support Black American athletes, I get criticized.
Wow what a country.

After all the mind games Mayweather has played on his opponents his entire career, one has to wonder whether he finally outplayed himself this time around. His anti-Asian remarks started when he was being pitted by the media and the public against pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, who incidentally beat him out as the boxing writers association's Fighter of the Decade.
Does Mayweather's rant against Lin have anything to do with Pacquiao? It's one thing to support your own race and be positive, but discrediting another and hurling racial slurs is something totally different. Is Lin guilty by association in Mayweather's eyes?
Truth is, both Lin and Pacquiao have earned all the hype they are receiving. Pacquiao is the first ever 8-division World Champ, while Lin has done something not even the greatest NBA players did when they first started in the league.
Supporting black fighters? More like pulling out the race card to stay significant.
I see what Mayweather has been doing. I'm Asian; not stupid.
Filipino Fans Feedback:
Chris Bauzon - When was Mayweather ever criticized for supporting fighters like Ward, Dirrell brothers, Peterson brothers, etc? Floyd got it twisted.
Bill Ma - Floyd obviously has never heard of the hype of Tiger Woods and The Williams sisters.
