Chris Jericho finally speaks on WWE TV, Was it worth the wait?

After 3 weeks of silence, WWE superstar Chris Jericho finally spoke on live television. The first few weeks, Jericho just came out and soaked up the cheers. He prompted the crowd to keep cheering and then would just leave. Last week, Jericho was involved in a 6 man tag-team match and when he was finally tagged in, Jericho ran around the ring screaming, then tagged his partner and left the ring. According to a Monday January 23rd report by WWE.com, Jericho made the following comments since his return to the company: "This Sunday at the Royal Rumble, it's going to be the end of the world as you know it"

Jericho would also make the same comments via his Twitter page last night after his RAW appearance. A few weeks ago, reports came out that WWE was considering keeping Jericho silent until after the Royal Rumble. The WWE was looking at having Jericho win the Rumble and then give a victory speech the next night on RAW.

Now that Randy Orton has returned. It's unclear if the WWE is going to have Jericho or Orton win. But, now that Jericho finally spoke, was it worth the wait? WWE would have been better off saving Jericho's first comments until after the Rumble or at the PPV. Last night's comments deflated the buildup that Jericho had masterfully created since his return.
