The multi-talented actor/singer-songwriter Chris Isaak has embarked on his self-titled Chris Isaak Tour and will be bringing his incredible musical diversity to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts on August 14 in Las Vegas.
Isaak has appeared in several motion pictures as well as in nearly two dozen television programs, including his own TV specials, and has released 15 albums since his 1985 debut album, Silvertone.
Two tracks from Silvertone, Gone Ridin’ and Livin’ for Your Lover appeared in the David Lynch film, cult classic Blue Velvet. His 1989 release, Heart Shaped World, included Isaak’s best known song Wicked Game. Its instrumental version was featured in another Lynch film, Wild at Heart.
Isaak’s Forever Blue album, released in 1995, included the track Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing which was featured in Stanley Kubrick’s film Eyes Wide Shut starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Other films featuring Isaak’s music were Chasing Liberty and True Romance.
Inspired by some of the greatest artists from Rock & Roll’s early days – legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Elvis – Isaak’s 2013 tour is packed full of classics, originals and covers and will also include music from his latest album Beyond the Sun.
Chris Isaak will be appearing inside Reynolds Hall at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts for one night only and tickets are on sale now.
