Chris Henry's funeral has been scheduled for Tuesday in New Orleans, the Bengals team announced Saturday. Chris Henry grew up in the New Orleans area, in nearby Belle Chasse. He was an NFL Cincinnati Bengals player. The Bengals team will fly to New Orleans for the funeral and return the same day; Tuesday is the team’s day off.
The Tuesday afternoon funeral will be held at the Alario Center in Westwego, Louisiana.
On Wednesday, Chris Henry, 26, jumped into the back of a truck that finacee Loleini Tonga was driving, according to police. The couple had just had an argument, and he was trying to stop her from leaving. After he jumped in, Loleini kept driving, and then Henry lost his balance and fell out of the truck. He was taken to a hospital, and he died Thursday morning from a head injury. No charges have been filed.
Fox 13 News in Salt Lake City reported that Chris Henry and his fiancee just shopped for wedding rings on Tuesday. The couple had three children together and he was in North Carolina to help plan the wedding.
