Chris Christie slammed the GOP after congress failed to come through for people in New Jersey and New York after Hurricane Sandy. On Jan. 2, The Inquisitr reported that Christie let it rip during a press conference, saying that politicians "use citizens of this country like the pawns on a chess board." His comments have now hit the internet and there are a lot of people debating what the governor has said.
"The outspoken Republican governor repeatedly referred to New Jersey and New York contributing more than they ever get back, and excoriated Washington for abandoning the states in their time of need for reasons of political expediency," The Inquisitr reported.
Chris Christie slammed the GOP and Washington which is huge given the fact that he is, in fact, a republican. Many believe that he will run for President in 2016 and if he spends the next four years playing both sides, he may actually have a shot at the White House. Could this be the change that many are calling for? A lot of people expect Christie to speak up about the GOP and to go against some of the extreme conservatives over the next few years.
"Last night, the House Majority failed most the basic test of leadership and they did so with callous disregard to the people of my state … It was disappointing and disgusting to watch … Shame on you, shame on Congress," Christie said.
Chris Christie's slam of the GOP isn't surprising. He has said that he isn't a "wallflower" and that he has plans to get things done -- political party is irrelevant.
