Bay Area blues fans will want to make their way March 1 to Antioch’s El Campanil Theatre. The occasion is the annual Delta Blues Festival benefit concert featuring Chris Cain, the Cash Box Kings and Frankie G and the Conviction. Proceeds are earmarked, naturally enough, for September’s Delta Blues Festival. Here is the lowdown.

For the past 15 years, the Delta Blues Festival has provided the residents of Antioch and the surrounding communities a great day of family entertainment downtown at Waldie Plaza. All of this has been done for free due to the generous support of corporate and local sponsors, and hard work of the volunteers. Festival organizer Frank Giovanni is determined to continue the tradition of the DBF and to keep it free to the public. In 2010, El Campanil Theatre presented the first Delta Blues Benefit Concert, with great acceptance and great attendance. Since then, many of you have asked for more and we've made it an annual event.
The DBF appreciates your attendance and support of the festival and we proudly present our Benefit Concert series. All profits will help fund the next festival, continuing the make the DBF a FREE annual event for all who attend.
