TMZ is reporting that Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown and Grammy-nominated Frank Ocean were in an ‘all out brawl’ outside the Westlake Recording Studio in West Hollywood Sunday night.
Early this morning the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that Chris Brown is under investigation for an alleged assault in a West Hollywood parking lot.
While the sheriff’s departments sorts out the events from last night, sources close to the incident insist that Ocean started the melee, as his crew blocked Brown and his entourage from leaving the studio. Ocean was quoted as saying, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot."
Early reports were six men fighting, but the scene was clear by the time sheriff’s arrived. Witnesses told the officers there was a brief fight over a parking space.
"The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim," the department said in a statement released early Monday morning.
Ocean is one of the top nominees at the Grammy Awards next month. He later tweeted, “cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys.”
Brown is known for his temper, especially around Grammy time, when in 2009, on the eve of the Grammy Awards, he attacked his then girlfriend and singer Rhianna. The two have continued to have an on again, off again relationship.
As of early this morning investigators want to speak to Brown and are continuing to refer to Ocean as the victim in the case.
