Chris Brown has been in the media for all the wrong reasons with the exception of awards for his music including a Grammy for the album entitled "F.A.M.E." in 2011. Most recently, Brown was in the news for potentially violating his probation after attacking a man outside of a hotel in Washington D.C.
Despite the 'bad guy' persona and really bad publicity, Brown had been focusing energy towards his acting career. In 2012, he starred in the film ‘Think Like a Man’ as Alex, Mya’s ex. It was a very brief appearance and not much to note.
In September 2013, Chris had a role in a poorly made dance flick that only received 5% on Rotten Tomatoes entitled Battle of the Year. The 3D dance movie also ruined our outlook on the handsome Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost, the TV series 2004-2010) who was also a protagonist in the film.
The actor is currently working on another film entitled Phenom directed by David Anspaugh alongside Vanessa Williams and Henry Simmons. He will star as a high school basketball player who makes it to the NBA and ends up playing against competing with his newly discovered father who is considered the NBAs best player. Basically, this film does not seem too promising either.
So music seems to be the only thing Chris Brown can get right lately. From poorly made films to annual legal problems, it seems music may be something he should stick with for now.
