Prosecutors today asked a judge to revoke Chris Brown's probation, claiming there is a lack of credible evidence that Brown completed his community service after being sentenced for beating Rihanna.
The prosecutors also believe that Chris Brown has ongoing anger management issues, this based on several incidents including throwing a chair through a window after a "Good Morning America" interview, when he was asked about his abuse of Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards. The report also cites Brown's Jan. 27 fight with R&B singer Frank Ocean.
The motion filed Tuesday cites numerous discrepancies and claims that Brown essentially was unsupervised.
Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, has told the Associated Press that it was frivolous and defamatory and he planned to seek sanctions against prosecutors.
Sheriff's officials have backed down from seeking charges against Brown in the recent fight with Ocean, mainly due to Ocean declining to press charges, leaving authorities with little to go on.
LA prosecution investigators have been questioning Brown's community service in Virginia for some time now, so this move comes as no surprise. Prosecutors are asking the judge to order the singer to repeat his entire 180-day service in Los Angeles.
Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray wrote, "This inquiry provided no credible, competent or verifiable evidence that defendant Brown performed his community labor as presented to this court," she went on to write that the documents provided was, "at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting."
The prosecution motion states, "Claims that the defendant cleaned, stripped and waxed floors at that location have been credibly contradicted." A professional floor cleaner working at the daycare facility told investigators that he had been cleaning the floors throughout the months Brown reported cleaning.
The filing went on to allege that Brown violated his probation by engaging in several violent outbursts, none resulting in an arrest of charges.
Brown is due in court Wednesday for his probation hearing.
