Chris Brown was arrested for alleged assault in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 27. According to the Associated Press via Yahoo! Music and many other sources, Chris Brown was reportedly involved in a fight close to the W Hotel after which time the 24-year-old Grammy winner was taken to jail along with his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, who was also said to be involved in this altercation.
The charges are severe. Both men are now facing felony assault charges.
Beyond that, Chris Brown is still on probation due to his 2009 beating of Rihanna for which he pleaded to one count of felony assault. Because of this, the musician may go to prison.
By way of background, Chris Brown had been in our nation's capital to be part of what was called Homecoming Weekend in a downtown D.C. club. During the so-called fight, one victim was said to have been taken to the hospital but was released as of Sunday afternoon, according to Paul Metcalf, a spokesperson for the Washington, D.C. police.
Chris Brown has seen his share of trouble, having been called out in an alleged fight with Drake, another alleged fight with Frank Ocean, and a hit-and-run accident during which his probation was revoked and he was ordered to complete 1,000 hours of community service.
Chris Brown has also recently been involved in a Twitter feud with blogger Perez Hilton after Hilton talked about the R&B star with regard to what he said was the loss of his virginity on"The Wendy Williams" show. This disclosure, which may or may not be true but which was the claim of Chris Brown in the first place in an interview with a British newspaper, came out on the small screen on Oct. 8.
That said, Chris Brown may be prison bound after Sunday's alleged assault. Will he get out of this trouble this time? Stay tuned.
