Chris Brown lied claims the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. On Feb. 5, 2013, Radar Online reported that documents were filed claiming the 23-year-old R&B singer lied about completing community service hours as part of his probation. In June 2009, the performer pleaded guilty to felony assault charges against the singer and then girlfriend Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years’ probation and six months of community service.
The document states, ". . . the evidence shows that although Virginia Probation accepted supervision of Brown, no one from that Department ever approved, scheduled, supervised, monitored, or verified any of the community labor reported to this Court." Brown is due in court on Feb. 16, 2013.
Many would conclude that this latest episode in Chris Brown's life is the last thing he needs. The "Fortune" singer had managed to pull himself out of his problems with Rihanna by continuing to push ahead. "F.A.M.E," his 4th studio album, received a large amount of recognition, and Brown was nominated for three Grammy awards, winning Best R&B Album.
However, Brown continued to run into trouble, such as in March 2011 when he flew into a rage at the "Good Morning America" studios, or in June 2012 when he got into a fight with Drake in a New York City nightclub.
Did Chris Brown lie about completing his community service, and if so, what does it mean for his career?
