Chris Brown isn't on Instagram anymore. The entertainer who compared himself to Jesus after getting into a fight with Frank Ocean was the target of serious backlash. Deciding he couldn't take the heat, he quit on Tuesday. The entertainer blamed social media on the influence it has on celebrities and gave his reasons for leaving.
"Social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I'm detaching myself from that world," wrote Chris Brown before removing the account.
Chris Brown took the same type of action after getting into a fight with comedian Jenny Johnson, but then he deleted his Twitter account. Coming back later, the star got plenty of press over his decision to return and Johnson got plenty of threats from Chris Brown threats.
While Chris Brown isn't the only star who gets blasted on social media, the entertainer seems to find a way to blame people for his decision to leave. Whether it’s Jenny Johnson, Frank Ocean or Jesus, it appears to be impossible for Brown just to stick around and weather the storm.
Will Chris Brown return to Instagram with a public account? Well, not for a while as Frank Ocean is rumored to be pressing charges against Brown. Making sure details posted online can’t be used against him, it’s safer to keep everything off until the storm blows over.
