Singer Chris Brown is having a bad week, from questions regarding his community service hours to getting back together with Rihanna and now he’s involved in a car accident on Saturday afternoon, February 9.
For those keeping score, Brown’s accident happened on the same day that he beat up his girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. Both Chris Brown and Rihanna dropped out of the Grammys that year however; they are both slated to be at tonight’s 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
According to RadarOnline, they spoke with Lt. Mike Foxen of the Beverly Hills Police Department regarding the accident. Lt. Foxen stated, “There was a car accident.”
Asked about a report circulating on the internet about the status of Brown’s Porsche, Lt. Foxen said, “I don’t believe it was totaled. But I don’t work for an insurance company so I can’t say that.”
According to Lt. Foxen, the accident occurred in Beverly Hills at 12:03 p.m. Chris Brown told Lt. Foxen that he crashed his car in an alley in an attempt to get away from paparazzi.
No injuries as a result of the car accident were reported. After his car was towed away, Chris Brown left the scene on his own.
