Chris Brown is the latest celebrity to be involved in a car accident involving the paparazzi. According to a Feb. 8 report by Just Jared, Chris’ car was totaled after an encounter with “aggressive” photographers.
Chris has faced a lot of criticism lately for getting back with Rihanna; getting in a fight with singer Frank Ocean; and faking his community service records. So perhaps his rep was hoping to score a little pity for Breezy by releasing a statement that reads in part, “Chris Brown was in a car accident this afternoon after being ruthlessly pursued by paparazzi. He was in his vehicle by himself headed to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy for a Symphonic Love Foundation event when two vehicles cut him off.”
It’s surprising that the photographers were working so hard to get a shot of Brown even though Rihanna wasn’t with him. Chris’ rep went on to say that the occupants of the two vehicles jumped out and “aggressively” approached Breezy’s car. He tried to back down an alley, but two more cars cut him off. This is how his car got totaled.
At least Chris Brown didn’t get out of his car and try to fight anyone. With all the Rihanna drama and the other issues he’s dealing with, he didn’t need something else that could ding his image. But if this account of what happened is true, then the paparazzi involved should be the ones who get criticized. Photographers are going way too far to score photos of celebrities these days -- one was recently killed trying to take a photo of Justin Bieber’s car, and Justin wasn’t even in it.
This accident could end up being a good thing for Chris since a lot of people will be on his side. Most folks seem to agree with celebs' opinions that the paparazzi are dangerous. So do you think that Chris will win a few pity points because of his car accident?
