Chris Brown has not had the best publicity since assaulting Rhianna in 2009 and is tired of being criticized by the media. Brown made the cover story of Jet magazine's October 14 issue and in his interview he blames racism for his bad press, even comparing himself to Trayvon Martin as per The Inquisitr on September 23, 2013.
The 24-year-old, R&B singer made some shocking comments in the magazine issue which was released on Monday. Chris Brown feels today's society looks at racism as normal and doesn't care.
"I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism," said Brown. "We aren't on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as n---as."
Brown obviously can't be too tired of the controversy, as he also called out Jay Z in his interview. He named other black singers, saying they "get formatted....except maybe Jay Z, who is accepted by White America because he shakes hands and kisses babies."
He doesn't understand how Jay-Z can get off easy with stabbing someone and selling drugs, yet he is still being condemned for being a "woman beater."
"No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass."
Jay Z pleaded guilty in 2001 to stabbing record producer Lance Rivera at a party in 1999.
