Chris Brown hopes ‘nobody’s hittin that’ about Rihanna, due in court in L.A. (Video)

Chris Brown recently gave an interview to Power 105.1 FM, in which he talks about the stresses of being separated from Rihanna while she's touring the country in support of her “Diamonds” album. Chris seemed to show some growth in exclaiming, “I’m just a regular guy, so I be thinking, man I hope nobody’s hitting that”, according to a report by Hollywood Life on Friday, April 5. Brown went on to talk about how he doesn’t want to be that jealous boyfriend, and about how he’s learned he just has to trust Rihanna. The singer is also due in court Friday afternoon in L.A. for a hearing over his disputed community service records.

According to The L.A. Times, Chris Brown is due in court today to face accusations that his 180 days of community service he performed in his home state of Virginia are fraudulent.

The community service was part of his sentence from assaulting Rihanna back in 2009, and L.A. prosecutors called into question whether Brown did indeed do what he claimed to when they brought him back to court in February.

It’s possible the judge today will force Chris to redo all or part of the 180 days in Los Angeles, if he’s not convinced the court submitted records are true and accurate. It’s also possible, but not likely, he could be thrown in jail.

In Brown’s radio interview, he talks about not wanting to be an overbearing and jealous boyfriend to Rihanna while she’s touring. The Hollywood Life story gives him props for it and thinks it shows growth on his part.

But there is another way to look at this, since one still has to call into question his vernacular.

To some, his statement about hoping nobody’s “hittin” that in talking about his girlfriend Rihanna may seem like normal everyday language. To others it smacks of disrespect.

Chris Brown’s past issues with anger are well documented, obviously first coming to the forefront when he physically assaulted Rihanna in his car back in 2009.

He was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to attend anger management classes after pleading out in that case, but some question whether it did any good.

First there was Brown’s infamous 2011 tantrum behind the scenes at GMA after Robin Roberts probed him about the Rihanna assault, as he was there to promote his new album.

Also just last summer, Brown and his entourage brawled at a New York night club with hip hop artist Drake and his crew. The spat was supposedly over jealousy surrounding Rihanna.

In February, Chris was involved in a fist fight with singer Frank Ocean in a West Hollywood recording studio parking lot, that was said by sources to be all over a parking space.

Neither party nor cops pursued criminal charges in that case, thankfully for Brown, since he could end up behind bars for probation violation.

Video also popped up on the Web in March that showed Chris explode at a parking valet over what he thought was an overcharge. So it would seem the R&B artist does have a hot temper.

However, as Rihanna, 25, and soon to turn 24 year-old Brown slowly revealed over the last several months that they were indeed back together as a couple, Chris must realize that the eyes of the world are upon him.

But that doesn’t mean Brown is going out of his way to suck up to the media though, as he still does just what he wants and doesn’t always stop to think about his image.

Last Halloween he dressed as a terrorist and posted the photos online, which was scoffed at given the violent images which included him posing with guns.

Oh, and don’t forget last month when Brown claimed to own Rihanna’s vagina. He later explained his statements were just part of a song.
