Grammy nominee Chris Brown is at it again with his violence and anger that really no longer shocks the American public. The Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department is investigating a brawl between Chris Brown and R&B artist Frank Ocean that occurred Sunday night at Westlake Studios. The fight happened over a parking spot and consisted of 6 men. The “altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim,” the statement said.
Chris Brown has been involved with several acts of violence in his adult life, most notably his attack of then girlfriend Rihanna 4 years ago in February where he smashed her head into the passenger window, punched her until her mouth filled with blood, choked her and bit her ear. He pleaded guilty to a felony assault and was put on 5 years probation.
During an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts in March 2011, being questioned about the incident with Rihanna set his temper ablaze again as he walked off the set, broke a window, removed his shirt and left the studio.
Though Chris Brown and Rihanna have dated again, Brown’s altercations have not stopped. In June of 2012, Brown and rapper Drake threw down in a New York nightclub where bottles of liquor had been thrown back and forth between the two parties, causing several people including Brown’s bodyguard and a tourist from Australia to get stitches in their heads. Who started the fight is unknown. Rihanna and Drake have also recorded together, including the hit single “What’s My Name?”
In 2011, Brown and Frank Ocean slung a few words back and forth via Twitter, which Brown has deactivated and reactivated several times. Frank is nominated for 6 Grammy Awards in February and Chris is up for Best Urban Contemporary Album. He received his first award last year for Best R&B Album.
The on and off again couple Brown and Rihanna attended his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran’s celebration of her magazine cover on ‘Rolling Out’ Thursday night. Rihanna is no stranger to controversy as well as she has been posting pictures of herself smoking a marijuana blunt and has posed for cameras catching her smoking. With all of the chaos in their personal lives this would seem like a modern day Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown scenario.
