So what has caused Chris Brown and Drake to sue each other? The hip hop stars are now engaged in a two-way lawsuit over their infamous NYC club brawl which happened months ago.
A report on Feb. 14 from OMG! Yahoo indicates that according to TMZ, Drake and Brown are each claiming the other party started the nightclub fight which occurred eight months ago. The brawl officially happened on June 14, and the incident left multiple club patrons hurt in the "bottle throwing" melee. That even included NBA star Tony Parker, and Chris Brown.
The reason for the lawsuit is due to another lawsuit, filed by Romain Julien, a French-born model. His claim is the incident caused "limited mobility in his right hand" after surgery to repair a severed tendon he suffered in the brawl. Now Brown and Drake are suing each other to make sure the other hip hop star will be the one responsible for paying Julien's damages.
There's been witness reports claiming it was Drake who started the fight, or at least threw the first bottle. However a rep for the hip hop star says he did "not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind" and was on the way out of the club when it all went down. So now a judge gets to decide who is really to blame.
Both Chris Brown and Aubrey Graham, aka "Drake," should have more than enough cash to pay up should they be found responsible. Each was recently among the 2013 Grammy Awards nominees, with Drake winning the Best Rap Album award for "Take Care."
Will Drake or Brown be found responsible for the NYC nightclub incident?
