Chris Brown crashes his car on Feb. 9, 2013, the same day he visited the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles, Calif. and posed for photos with students. The Beverly Hills Police Department told E! Online that the singer was not injured in the accident.
The troubled 23-year-old on-again/off-again boyfriend of singer Rihanna was traveling alone at the time of the incident. His reps maintained that Chris Brown crashed due to paparazzi who were chasing him.
A representative for the celebrity told E! News, "Chris Brown was in a car accident this afternoon after being ruthlessly pursued by paparazzi. He was in his vehicle by himself headed to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy for a Symphonic Love Foundation event when two vehicles cut him off."
He appeared at the event as scheduled despite the accident.
At one point during the encounter with the paparazzi, Brown was reportedly backing down an alley to evade photographers when another two vehicles cut him off. If Brown's recounting of the events leading to the crash are accurate, he was being pursued dangerously and negligently all for the sake of a few photographs of him driving his car. It's very fortunate he was not hurt in the crash.
