Chris Brown doesn't think that it's fair that he's been made out to be such a bad guy. According to a Sept. 21 report by the Daily News, the singer complained that he gets judged more harshly than Jay Z, who once stabbed a guy. He also compared himself to a slave being lashed.
Brown brought up Hova's past during an interview with Jet magazine. "No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs," he said. "He gets a pass." The singer was referring to Jay Z's 1999 stabbing of record producer Lance "Un" Rivera.
So basically Brown seems to believe that he should be completely forgiven for beating Rihanna simply because people have forgotten what Jay Z did. Unfortunately for Brown, the internet wasn't quite as big in 1999 as it is today, so this might have something to do with why no one brings up what Hova did. However, it's ridiculous that Chris Brown is still complaining about this. His career didn't die, and a lot of his fans were shockingly quick to forgive him for what he did to Rihanna. And he definitely doesn't deserve to have his past forgotten simply because no one remembers what Jay Z did—if anything, Hova needs to get criticized more harshly for his crime.
Brown made the kind of mistake that's going to haunt him for the rest of his life, and he just needs to accept this instead of continuing to be bitter about the world's refusal to drop the matter. However, instead using his latest interview as an opportunity to say that he's learned from the experience and is going to work on being a better man from now on, Brown went on to compare himself to a slave. "I got to the point where it's only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I've taken my fair share of lashings," he said.
Brown is a man who lives in the lap of luxury. He sings songs for a living and can travel anywhere he wants to in the world, and the hardest he's probably physically worked was when he was doing community service. So how dare he compare himself to a slave? That comment proves that he still doesn't appreciate what he has or all the second chances that he's been given.
So what do you think of Brown's latest complaints about how hard it is to be him?
