Chris Brown was arrested and thrown in jail after an altercation outside a Washing DC Inn early this morning. According to the New York Daily News on Oct. 27, Brown was charged with a felony assault for allegedly “attacking a man” outside of the Washington’s W Hotel.
It’s no secret that Brown has a bit of a temper, he’s been in the headlines time and time again for altercations including his most famous, the incident when he beat up his singer girlfriend, Rihanna. Brown is still on probation for that crime back in 2009.
Brown hosted a party at the Park on 14th, one of several nightclub events in town this weekend hoping to get the overflow from the crowds drawn to Howard University’s homecoming. Marc Barnes, owner of the Park on 14th in Northwest Washington, said Brown hosted a party at the club and left around 2:30 a.m. “ Everything went fine and Brown was fine when he left the party said Barnes. Two hours later he is in a brawl in front of a hotel, so what happened?
This incident will violate his probation and he can get up to four years in jail if he is found guilty of felony assault. The man that Brown had the altercation with was also arrested. He is identified as 35-year-old Chris Hollosy and he is also facing charges of felony assault just like Brown.
Police do not believe that Brown was under the influence when this fight broke out. They are not saying how Brown knows the man that he exchanged punches with. Police believe the two were together before the altercation but would not say what the relationship of these two men were who broke into a fist fight in front of the hotel.
Brown, 24, was arrested in the wee hours of the morning at 4:30 a.m. One of the men were injured and needed treatment, but police would not say who emerged as winner of this altercation. Brown and his fighting buddy won’t get out of the jail until Monday. Brown will stay in jail the remainder of the weekend. Said police spokesperson Paul Metcalf.
One question that was not answered is: What was Brown doing at 4:30 a.m. with this guy in front of the W Hotel in Washington D.C.?
If Brown is found guilty of this felony assault, he could spend four years in jail. He appears to be just as self-destructive as he is talented.
