Singer Chris Brown was arrested on March 14, 2014, for violating his probation. He was arrested in Malibu, California. The probation stems from his 2009 arrest and conviction for domestic violence against his then girlfriend, Rihanna. Brown has had multiple run-ins with the law and arrests since the 2009, domestic violence case, but was sentenced to 60 days in rehab on Feb. 20, 2014, instead of serving jail time. Brown was ultimately kicked out of the rehab facility, and subsequently violated his probation, returning him to jail.
Brown was arrested at approximately 2 am, at the rehab facility then transferred to the Los Angeles County jail where he was held without bail. According to the facility, Brown was released for “failure to comply with rules and regulations of the program.”
Brown had been undergoing treatment for previous substance abuse, bi-polar disorder, anger management and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
