Chris Brown was arrested this morning, Oct. 27 in Washington, D.C. after allegedly attacking a man outside a hotel, according to TMZ. Brown evidently got into a disagreement with a man who was outside the W Hotel on K Street and supposedly punched him once in the face, ,according to law enforcement sources. Sources say that the man that Chris punched never threw a punch and that Chris and the alleged victim did not know each other.
The occurrence happened at roughly 4:30 a.m. Chris was with his bodyguard who was also arrested. Brown did not appear to be under any type of drug or alcohol at the time of the occurrence, according to law enforcement sources.
Brown is at the present time in custody and will stay in jail today and overnight. D.C. law states that he cannot get bail so he will have to appear before a judge tomorrow and then he'll most likely be released. The man he hit is at a D.C. hospital.
The fight evidently was started when two women came up to Brown in front of the W Hotel and asked to have their picture taken with him. The photo was about to be taken when two men quickly rushed over to get in the photo too. Law enforcement sources say that Chris then said, "I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing," and threw a punch at the man. Then the fight was taken to the ground.
TMZ spoke to the victim at 9:05 am PT, and he stated that Chris broke his nose and that he might need surgery as early as tomorrow morning. He admitted that he and another man photo bombed the two women who were trying to take a photo with Brown and Chris went nuts. The victim said he is not a Chris Brown fan and that he was just hanging around the hotel with some girls when he saw Brown outside. The man states that he doesn't understand why Brown would be "so homophobic" to make such a slur. The victim stated that he would have accepted an apology from Brown at the scene, but that now he will positively press charges. He already has an attorney.
Sources close to Brown told TMZ that the alleged victim is full of baloney. He was not trying to take a picture with Brown. He was trying to get on the tour bus, and Brown was just trying to stop a trespass. According to the sources, the two girls were trying to get on the bus to have their photo taken and they were blocked. That is when the two men tried to get on the bus.
This incident could be grounds for violating his probation that he is still on because of the Rihanna beating case. This means that Brown could be facing roughly four years in prison, worst case scenario for him.
