Chris Brown and 'Team Breezy' Swarms over NBC's Today show

18,000 fans crowded New York City's Rockefeller Plaza to catch a glimpse of the energetic performance of Chris Brown and Team Breezy. It was reported that the NYC Police Dept were forced to close off traffic from 48th to 49th streets due to the enormous crowd of screaming fans, which predominantly ranged from younger to older female fans.

Brown’s performance even drew former ABC's ‘View’ host Star Jones, who along with others, carved out a spot from one of the upper NBC Rockefeller Plaza building windows to take photos of the handsome young performer.

Today show co hosts Al Roker and Matt Lauer exclaimed, that Brown’s appearance drew the largest crowd in the Toyota concert series history. There were screaming female fans climbing traffic light polls and breaking down metal barricades to get next to Chris Brown.

Fans travelled from as far as South Carolina, Oregon and West Virginia to wait in line for a spot to see him. One female fan stated: “I have been waiting in line since Wednesday evening to get a spot close enough to see my favorite singer.” When I asked another fan her experience of seeing Chris Brown, before I could finish my sentence she responded with screaming. I guess that means she enjoyed the show!

The night before Brown’s concert, the NYC Police had to disband several fights that took place within the crowd; they were all trying to get close enough to see the fabulous “Team Breezy.”

Brown performed a tight 20 minute set that included songs from his latest Gold release: ‘Fame’, which he stated has two meanings, "Fans Are My Everything" and "Forgiving All My Enemies" ‘Yeah 3x’ and the mega-hit: “She Ain’t You”, he also sang his past mega-hits: "Forever" and "I Can Transform Ya" from the ‘Transformers’ Soundtrack.

Despite Chris Brown’s frustrating interview with ABC's Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts in March of this year, Chris returned to the morning concert circuit to perform a free concert that had the crowd of screaming female fans climbing the walls, literally.

Chris appeared onstage in a dapper black suit and pink bowtie, that he eventually stripped down to several different outfits that made the crowd swoon with anticipated agony and deliver thunderous applause that kept Chris smiling with appreciation throughout his set.

The huge embodiment of the crowd proved to Chris once again, that despite his long road back from an upheaval of dramatic sorts he still has the love of his fans.

Brown’s performance included a tight band and great dancers dressed in red and black grim reaper costumes with a holster of bullets surrounding their necks, who never missed one beat of such a well performed set that the crowd of thousands of squealing fans, with many parents in tow, would remember forever.

Brown’s ‘Fame’ album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 270,000 copies in its first week, becoming his first US number-one album. It has since been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

As of July 13, 2011, the album has sold 656,100 copies in the United States, passing Brown's previous album's sales of 341,000 copies.

As always NBC’s Today show Toyota's Concert Series displayed another one of their free show of shows to remember.
