Mandy Moore will be joining other world-renowned choreographers in a workshop called "Jump." Mandy is the choreographer for "American Idol." In addition, to a guest choreographer on "So You Think You Can Dance." Her choreography achievements are endless, from "Miss American Pageants to "Celine Dion's World Tour." Mandy is represented by MSA Agency.
Jump is part of the company "Break The Floor Productions." The company was started by Gil Stroming. Gil is the creator of Tap Dance Band, among many other accomplishments.
The workshop is a three day weekend. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. The Faculty of Jump consists of Gil Stroming, Mandy Moore, Kim McSwain, Dan Karaty, Nick Lazzarini, Misha Gabriel, Katy Spreadbury, Mike Minery, Dee Caspary, and Minnesota Native, Doug Caldwell. Also joining the tour this year is "SYTYCD Season 5 Winner" Jeanine Mason, and runner up Brandon Bryant. Mandy Moore will be teaching contemporary.
The weekend will begin with master classes on Friday, November 20, 2009. On Saturday and Sunday the day will be packed with contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap and hip hop classes. Classes will be divided by age and level. The workshop will close with a production show. The show includes all of the participates of the workshop. This will give parents and teachers the opportunity to see what their children have learned throughout the course of the weekend.
Prices for the workshop range from $85.00-$290.00 There is also a spectator fee of $35.00 Pre-registration will lower your fee. Teachers can get in for free if they bring in 5-20 students.
There is also an opportunity to audition for a VIP Scholarship. The winner will receive a $500.00 scholarship to a future "Break The Floor Productions" event.
