Tonight's episode of "Chopped" offered four firefighter chefs an opportunity to compete for the $10,000 and the very elusive title of a champion in this episode where the chefs were given items in the mystery boxes that would otherwise be thrown away in this episode titled, “Firefighter Chefs.”

The judges for this episode are: Marcus Samuelsson, Alex Guarnaschelli and Scott Conant. The host, as always is Ted Allen.

Competing in this episode are: Richard Fields, a captain with the LAFD, Antonia Donnelly, firefighter for the city of Philadelphia, Robert Corbin, firefighter from Nashville, Tenn. and Sal DePaola, a firefighter from the FDNY.

The first round appetizer mystery box contained: Wildfire Lettuce, ‘Nduja, Burratta and Roti. Sal made sausage & pepper sandwich using onions, peppers and butter. Robert made ‘Nduja stuffed mushrooms using onions, garlic, peppers and mushrooms. Richard made ‘Nduja taco using onions, garlic and peppers and Antonia made deconstructed stromboli with heirloom tomato sauce using tomatoes, peppers, olives and basil. The firefighter eliminated from this round was Sal that had too much grease on his plate.

The entree round contained: Ghost Peppers, Rack of Wild Boar, Cucuzza Squash and Saganaki (flaming cheese that they had to set ablaze). Richard made oven-roasted wild boar with southern rub and root vegetables using paprika, thyme, oregano and carrots. Antonia made penne pasta al diavolo with grilled boar chop using crushed tomatoes, red wine and onions. Robert made fried boar chop with roasted potatoes using red potatoes, rosemary and onion powder. The firefighter who was "Chopped" in this round was Antonia, who let her pasta overcook.

The dessert round included: Wafer Sheets, Vanilla Pudding Cups, Lemon Soda and a Blow Torch to use flame in the dessert. Robert made blueberry pudding with lemon soda meringue using eggs, butter and blueberries. Richard made lemon soda ice cream using cream, sugar, milk and eggs.

The winner of the $10,000 and "Chopped" champion was Richard, who will help his parents in gratitude for all they have done for him.
