Last night’s episode of "Chopped" offered four teenagers that love to cook an opportunity to compete for $25,000 and a $40,000 culinary scholarship plus the very elusive title of teen champion. Faced with mystery baskets of strange ingredients, they must create something that will appeal to the judges and also show off their culinary skills and creativity in the appetizer, entree and dessert rounds.

The judges for this episode are: Chris Santos, Alex Guarnaschelli and special guest judge Alex Stupak. The host, as always is Ted Allen.

Competing in this episode are: Max Aronson, 16 from Woodcliff Lake, N.J., Tommi Rae Fowler, 16 from Townville, S.C., Brandon Medley, 15 from Sewell, N.J. and Hannah Bukzin, 14 from Westport Conn.

The first round appetizer mystery box contained: Rabbit & Ginger Sausage, Dandelion Greens, Dried Currants and Hot Sauce Flavored Candy Canes. Hannah made dandelion green & rabbit sausage flatbread using shallots, vinegar and mushrooms. Max made rabbit & currant wontons with dandelion salad using celery, honey and mirin. Brandon made sausage & salad tortilla chips using green peppers, red wine and garlic powder. Tommi Rae made rabbit sausage tostada with candy cane sauce using cumin, sriracha and orange juice. The teen who was eliminated was Brandon whose currants and use of balsamic vinegar did not please the judges.

The entree round contained: Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, Cornish Hens, Hen-of-the-Woods Mushrooms and Edamame Hummus. Hanna made panko-crusted fried hen using lemon, sour cream and onion. Tommi Rae made fried hen with gravy using buttermilk, cream and butter. Max made bacon-crusted game hen using lemon, cream and red wine. Hannah was the teen who was "Chopped" in this round because her fried chicken was inconsistent.

The dessert round included: Cinnamon Cereal, Chocolate Fudge, Pie Crust and Grape Carbonated Candy. Tommi Rae made funnel cake with cinnamon-fudge roll-up and grape brittle using cream, raspberries and orange juice. Max made carbonated grape candy ice cream using raspberries, oranges and brown sugar.

The winner of this round of "Chopped" and the teen semi-finalist that will compete in the grand finale was Tommi Rae Fowler, who was thrilled that she will now have a chance to go to culinary school.
